Discreet intimate purchase 24/7 in Zagreb

The pharmacist says good morning. The clerk at the drugstore asks if you need anything else. Someone in the queue behind you watches what you put on the belt. At 3am, on a Sunday, or before a first date — none of that has to be part of the story.

Condoms. Tampons. Pads. Lubricant. Pregnancy tests. These are things people buy their entire lives. And their entire lives they buy them with a little bit of awkwardness that doesn't have to exist.

Coming soon to Vendo — an intimate-care collection sold from a vending machine. No till. No clerk. No queue behind you. Walk in, pick, pay by card, walk out. It takes a minute.

Why a machine is a different solution

  • Nobody sees you. There are no staff at Vendo. No till. No camera, no clerk who remembers your face from around the block. You pick everything yourself, on a screen.
  • Nobody asks. No "who's it for", no "anything else", no up-and-down glance. The machine does its job.
  • Nobody remembers. The card doesn't tell the bank or Google what you bought — only the amount. A receipt (if you take one) doesn't email itself anywhere.
  • No queue. At the drugstore on Sunday, the queue behind you is your neighbours. At the pharmacy on Friday night, the queue is out the door. Here, no queue. When you're in, you're alone.

What's coming

  • Condoms. The only form of contraception that also protects against sexually transmitted infections.
  • Sanitary pads — when your period arrived a day early, on Friday night, on holiday, on a school trip.
  • Tampons — same rule, different preference.
  • Lubricant — because the difference between awkward and enjoyable is often half a bottle of lube.
  • Pregnancy tests — when you're 3 days late and the question isn't going to wait for Monday.

Who this actually helps

  • Women whose period showed up at an inconvenient hour. 10pm, 3am, on the road. Pharmacy closed, drugstore closed, no friend around.
  • Students. Before a first date, after a first date, during a first date. No need to ask anyone for permission or advice — or to ask the other person.
  • Women who suspect they're pregnant. Buy the test anonymously, take it at home, read the result yourself. No company unless you want it.
  • Men who left the condom at home. A classic. Pharmacy closed, petrol station far, drugstore closed.
  • Tourists who don't speak Croatian. Asking at a pharmacy with a phone translator open is awkward. A machine needs no conversation.
  • Anyone who forgot to buy in time. Sunday, holiday, three in the morning — all covered.

This does NOT replace a pharmacy

The machine sells condoms, tampons, pads, lubricant and pregnancy tests. If you need a prescription morning-after pill (levonorgestrel, EllaOne), that's a pharmacy only — in Zagreb the on-duty Ljekarna Trešnjevka on Trg Marina Držića is open 24/7. If you need medicines or advice, a pharmacist is still the right answer. Vendo covers what doesn't need a prescription.

How to pay

Card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), Apple Pay, Google Pay, contactless. Coins from 10 cents up. No notes.
