Vending machines in Croatia: how self-service shops work
A space full of vending machines, no till and no staff, open 24/7. Here is how a self-service shop works and how to buy there.
What a self-service shop is
In a self-service shop everything is sold from vending machines: there's no till and no shop assistant. Vendo is a 19 m² space like that in central Zagreb, with machines for coffee, drinks, sandwiches, sweets and snacks, plus a Printbox kiosk for printing documents.
Because it doesn't depend on staff shifts, Vendo is open 24/7, every day, including Sundays and public holidays.
